PIC educational boards and development kít

2 Attachment(s)
hi,
We have PIC educatioal boards and development kits. All the boards are designed and made in the US.
- PIC16F877A and PIC18F8722 development kits
- RFID develoment kits with RS485 network adapters
- GSM modules
- GPS receiver module and CMOS/TTL/RS232 GPS adapter board
if anyone interested, please contact me. I will provide more information. Or visite www.vnbtech.com. The website will be updated soon.

Here is an example of PIC16 educational board:
The board consists of
• PIC16F877A microcontroller from Microchip on socket for easy replace new chip
* Main oscilator or clock at 20 M Hz
• Circuitry of RTC (Real Time Clock) with battery or supper-cap backup
• Circuitry of temperature sensor
• Circuitry for pulse counter
• LCD display connector 16-pin
* potential metter to adjust the LCD constract
• Keypad connector 8-pin for 3x4 or 4x4 keypad
• A push button to reset the board
• A push button for external trigger event
• A POT for A/D exercise
• 3 LEDS (RED/GREEN/BLUE)
• 1 RS232 port DB9 female
• 1 ICD connector 6-pin
• Power/GND access points and breadboard area for
experiments
• Connector to access extra PIC pins for other
experiments.
• DC power input supply jack 12-volt.
* DC stepdown circuit to convert 12-volt to 5-volt for main power supply of the board
* 1 power indicator LED
• One jumper to configure the board to have LCD back
light turned ON/OFF

all the boards have pre-loaded firmware to test and demo all the functionalities.

To me, it's not a good design.

At this time, we support the picvietnam ICSP_BLD standard, which can reduce many stuffs on dev board. No DB9, no max232, no pullup resistors...the crystal footprint should be jumper 200, not SMD tap type...

Many stuffs.., but this board is a very old design for PIC dev board.

We now should focus on ideas, not on the quality of the pcb board, because at this time, many small companies can order pcb from China, Taiwan and Korea at a very low price and high quality.

Pls take a look to www.minhhaco.com for PIC dev board.

Goodluck.

Dear Falleaf:
Thank for your inputs, but you seem having lots of confusings. The DB9 and the max232 are the standard RS232 communication...just to talk with external devices such as GSM modems or GPS receivers or any DTE or DTS devices

the debug port is the ICD 6-pin...it is compatible with ICD2 or CCS ICD-U or ICD-S....

this board is the entry level for everyone want to plug and play. It has most of the functionalities for entry level...it is low cost with high quality...

We use all the SMT parts in our designs for GSM modems, GPS tracking system, but the SMT parts we use on the development kits are 1206 case size, still easy for re-work.....

again thank for your inputs
